The Miami MetroZoo is located in Miami, Florida and boasts over 80 exhibits, 740 acres, three miles of walkways, over 1,000 animals including 400 species, 48 endangered species, 10,000-15,000 Italian honey bees, 70 species of birds, 900 species of trees, palms and other plants and hundreds of orchids in the trees.

Visitors can easily purchase tickets online at the MetroZoo website and avoid waiting in lines on their vacations. Visitors can also view admission fees and hours, shows and rides online. Behind-the-Scenes Keeper Tours offer face-to-face tours with a zookeeper. Tours include one and one-half hour visit with exotic animals. Visitors can select from several tour choices. The Guided Walking Tours and Pineland Tours are also popular at the MetroZoo. Visitors can experience a tour of the zoo with a high-trained docent as their guide.
